System Rescue & Takeover

We take over projects another vendor left unfinished, and finish them. Including one inherited at 90% completion and carried through to production.

  • Code audit
  • Defect resolution
  • Performance
  • Handover

When This Applies

The situations we get called into

  • Vendor walked away

The system is most of the way there, the contract has ended badly, and nobody currently owns the code.

  • Delivered but not working

The system was handed over and signed off, but core functions fail, performance collapses under load, or the numbers come out wrong.

  • No documentation

Nobody in your organisation knows how it works, and the original developers are unreachable.

How We Work

Audit before we touch anything

  • 01

    Audit

We read the code and the database before quoting. You get an honest assessment of what is salvageable and what has to be rewritten — including if the answer is that starting again is cheaper.

  • 02

    Stabilise

Core defects first. The system has to stop failing before anything else is worth doing.

  • 03

    Complete and harden

Remaining functionality built out, performance addressed under realistic transaction volumes, and access control and data protection brought up to standard.

  • 04

    Document and hand over

You end up with documentation the previous vendor never gave you, so you are never again dependent on one party knowing how it works.

In 2024 we took over a dividend distribution system for a unit trust institution at 90% completion: core defects fixed, the annual distribution calculation optimised, large-scale transaction performance improved, and access control and financial data protection hardened. Client name withheld for confidentiality.

Next Step

Have a system nobody will finish?

Send us access to the code and we will tell you what it will take, in writing, before you commit to anything.
